Union Agriculture Minister Calls for the Creation of A New India and Empowering the Farmers by 75th Anniversary of Independence The Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Radha Mohan Singh appealed to the agricultural scientists of the country to empower the farmers of the country by doubling their income till the 75th anniversary of independence. He stated this in his address on the last day of the two-day workshop organized on 'Developing a Roadmap for Agricultural Knowledge Management in India' by the Directorate of Knowledge Management in Agriculture (DKMA), under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.

On this occasion Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) and Director General, ICAR; Mr. S. N. Tripathi, Additional Secretary (DARE) and Financial Advisor, ICAR; Dr. A. K. Singh, Deputy Director General (Agriculture Extension); Dr. J. K. Jena, Deputy Director General (Fisheries); Dr. Ajit Maru, Former Expert, FAO; Dr. Rameshwar Singh, Vice Chancellor, Bihar Veterinary Science University; Dr. S. K. Singh, Project Director, DKMA and other agricultural scientists were also present.
